Beckingham Range CGR 600 Full-bore Shoot – Sunday 9th July 2023 – £25.00 (Full day)

Beckingham 600m Range is a 12 lane Converted Gallery (CGR) Range restricted to Max 7.62/.308, 4,500 joules of energy and 1,000 mps velocity.
All shooters must comply with the regulations; any doubts about the calibre you wish to use see me after the brief.
The arc of fire will be individually allocated lanes.
All shooters must have their certificate of competence as issued by their club together with their FAC to be allowed to shoot.
All home-loaded ammunition must comply with the manufacturer’s guidelines and not exceed range regs.
Firing Times 0900hrs – 1500hrs, and full use of the time must be made.
Follow parking instructions and be courteous to strangers, even those who are in the wrong!!
The primary safety zone is the firing line, where kit and rifles can be handled. Rifles must be in a clearly safe condition (bolt out, flag in, slide back, i.e. breach open) at all times until permission is given to load. It would be best left in a cover or case. Aiming, snapping, inserting bolts, or removing breech flags off the firing point will be viewed very seriously if it is necessary for you to handle any rifle when not in the primary safety zone or on the firing line you must seek permission from the RCO.
All non-firing personnel are to remain behind the firing point.
Ear defenders must be worn on the firing point. No one will be permitted to fire without, and they are also advised to be worn behind the firing point. Eye protection is advisory. Do not put any kit on the firing line until the order is given and the 50 mil rule applies whilst there meaning rifle barrels will be kept parallel with the ground and pointing down range. You must not load or fire until I have given the order to do so. During loading and unloading or clearing a malfunction, the rifle barrels must be kept parallel to the ground and pointed down the range. Do not leave the firing point until your rifle has been declared clear. Pick up your empty cases and make certain that there are no live rounds left behind.
In an emergency, STOP! STOP! STOP! will be shouted and if necessary, whistle sounded. The Butts will then be contacted and all targets dropped. You will stop firing and immediately open the bolts/levers and lay your rifles on the ground pointing down range. Stand back and await further instructions. Anyone using the range can call an emergency stop firing at any time if necessary, for safety reasons.
In the event of any misfires, you must wait 30 seconds then carefully open the bolt with your face averted, keeping the rifle pointed down range all the time. Misfires are to be reported to me.
All rubbish must be taken home.
A First Aid Box will be made available on the range at all times, along with a designated First Aider. In the event of an accident medical protocol will be followed.
